How to calculate VAT in Nepal

To add VAT, multiply the amount by the VAT rate and add the VAT amount to the original amount.

For example, if the amount is Rs. 100,000 and the VAT rate is 13%, the VAT amount is Rs. 13,000 and the total is Rs. 113,000.

To remove VAT from a VAT-inclusive amount, divide the total amount by 1 plus the VAT rate expressed as a decimal.
